Pince（プリンス）といえば「パープルレイン」アラカン世代のスーパースターを追悼します。

今年1月のデビット・ボウイの逝去に続いて、先週の4月21日には米国のミュージシャンプリンスが亡くなったとのニュースが伝えられました。1958年生まれですから、ようやくアラカン世代の仲間入りをしたばかりの早すぎる死です。青春時代にお世話になったスーパースターのご冥福を心からお祈りします。（上記のアイキャッチ画像はマキシモ・ノバスさんの作品を使用させていただきました。）

さて、プリンスといえば、やはり1984年に自身が主演した映画「パープル・レイン」のサントラとして使われた同名の曲が忘れられません。パープルレイン（Purple Rain）とは、文字通り訳せば「紫の雨」ですが、紫はプリンスのイメージカラーであり、彼のやるせない気持ちを歌った曲だとか色々な説が流れたのを思い出しました。

それにしても、マイケルジャクソン、忌野清志郎、デビット・ボウイに続いて今度はプリンスと、アラカン男の青春時代の個性的なロックスターが次々と消えていくのは寂しい限りです。
